It is our pleasure to announce that Jim Fisher has received the J. Lloyd Kimbrough award at the 2006 North American Steel Construction Conference (NASCC) in San Antonio Texas earlier this year. This award "honors engineers and architects who are universally recognized as the pre-eminent steel designers of their era" and who have "made an outstanding contribution to the structural steel industry through his or her design work". This honor has only been awarded nine times since its inception in 1941.

The list of previous honorees reads like a hall of fame of steel designers. Other recipients include such notable names as William J. LeMessurier, Dr. Fazlur R. Khan, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and General Leif J. Sverdrup.

For many years we at CSD and you, our clients, have known the outstanding contributions that Jim has made to the steel construction industry. This recognition is a just reward for a job well done. Please join us in congratulating Jim as he continues his work in the steel industry here at CSD.
