Modern Steel Construction magazine featured the ExxonMobil Energy Center in the June 2015 Edition. The article was co-authored by Adam Friedman, associate at Computerized Structural Design, Dr. Pat Fortney, president of Cives Engineering Corporation and Craig Peterson, vice president of Peterson Beckner Industries. Tom Getschman also contributed to the article and led the construction engineering team on this project.
CSD provided construction engineering services including the design and layout of temporary bracing, erection sequencing, lift planning and review, and hurricane contingency planning. CSD collaborated with the steel erector, steel detailer/fabricator, and engineer of record throughout the project. CSD worked directly with the steel erector to provide solutions that were erector friendly and ensured proper stability while meeting the project requirements for tolerances.
