CSD Structural Engineers served as Engineer of Record for the building design of Aluminum Dynamics’ $1.9 billion recycled aluminum mill in Columbus, Mississippi. The complex spans over 2,000,000 square feet across four specialized buildings: Cast House, Mills, Process, and Finishing/Shipping facilities. Our team designed comprehensive structural systems including crane runways supporting overhead cranes ranging from 12.5 to 165 tons, building foundations, lateral bracing, and roof framing. Using SAP2000 for structural analysis and Revit for 3D modeling, CSD’s experienced team delivered timely engineering solutions to meet the project’s aggressive schedule while ensuring structural integrity for this critical manufacturing facility.
