Adam Friedman, PE, SE
Principal

Adam Friedman joined CSD in 2008 and has progressed through the firm’s ranks, serving as Associate (2014), Senior Associate (2018), and Principal (2021). He has extensive experience in construction engineering, including temporary bracing design, erection planning, rigging and heavy lift operations, hurricane contingency planning, and field modifications. Adam specializes in the design and analysis of steel systems for heavy industrial and commercial projects, with particular expertise in miscellaneous steel, including stairs, ladders, and platforms, as well as connection design. He brings a practical, construction-focused approach that enhances project constructability and execution.

Adam is committed to education and professional development. He is the author of AISC Design Guide 34: Steel-Framed Stairway Design and a recognized speaker, having presented webinars and conference sessions on topics such as stair design, constructability, construction engineering, and base plate design. He serves as a lecturer at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and is a former President and Vice President of the MSOE Alumni Association Board.
