Thomas Whittow, P.E.
Thomas Whittow joined Computerized Structural Design in 1979. He was promoted to Associate in 1985 and Principal in 1997. Prior to working at CSD, he worked as a Senior Test Engineer at Koehring and Bucyrus Erie and as a Plant Engineer for the A.O. Smith Corporation. Since joining CSD, Mr. Whittow has been involved in the analysis and design of residential, commercial and industrial buildings as well as the structural remodeling of existing facilities. Since the late 1980’s he has concentrated on the design of numerous steel mill facilities and foundations for the steel making equipment. In addition to his design work, Mr. Whittow has taught a masonry design course at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He also regularly teaches several engineering short courses for the University of Wisconsin Department of Engineering Professional Development.
